Accelerate Your Testing with Smart Data Strategies
Wednesday, October 16, 3-4pm Goto-Webinar Register here
Complex system landscapes contain large amounts of data spread across multiple applications. This makes it hard for testers and developers to find suitable test data, especially when the databases and their structures are unknown.
Gain an overview of the entities and attributes of your business data to best understand how it is distributed to select the best data for your tests. Learn how to extract and apply data in any test environment, whether static or dynamic, including those that exist only during the application's CI/CD runs.
This webinar will demonstrate how to use UBS Hainer’s test data management tool XDM to set up smart data strategies for test data that can automatically transport individual business cases using a simple online order form or be triggered through a web service from any test automation process.
We will explain how XDM’s Masking Tool anonymizes PII data to adhere to both external and internal regulations. Additionally, when utilizing test base data in test automation, it's crucial to establish a mechanism to reset the test data following any alterations during a test. We'll delve into reusable test data and how it can streamline your test automation process.

DevOps & Mainframe - The Challenges in Parallel Projects and Parallel Testing
Wednesday, 21 June 2023, @ 14.00-14.45 BST
Presenter: Daniel Raisch, Executive Enterprise Architect, Eccox
Mainframe Modernization is primarily addressing business demands for the Digital Economy. This requires Agility, Delivering More at the Speed of Market Changes, and all at Reduced Costs.
As always it comes down to develop, test and deploy more applications. Outside of resources, one of the biggest challenges is provisioning a test environment allowing multiple projects running in parallel (e.g. different versions of applications, different versions of programs, different database structures, …).
Eccox’s Application Parallel Testing (APT) automatically creates isolated Container workloads and test tracks which provide the necessary speed, security, and adherence in the provision of a testing environment. You can meet multiple, parallel projects without conflict by standardizing the testing processes of programs and systems.
APT is a complementary solution for existing DevOps and test tools in the mainframe market, but addressing the full test-cycle, and vastly improving your DORA metrics.
The Webinar will highlight how using Parallel Testing from ECCOX will dramatically improve your Development Throughput with both life-cycle cost and time reductions. It delivers the required faster turnaround in Mainframe Modernization and Digitalization.

Manage your Test Data before it becomes a Bottleneck
Tuesday, 8 June 2023, @ 16.00-17.00 BST
Presenter: Craig S. Mullins
Anybody who has ever been involved in software development knows that creating applications requires test data. Without the data to test your programs against, there is really no way to ensure that the programs are doing what you want them to do.
But test data management can quickly consume a lot of time and effort. Supporting multiple programmers, multiple database environments, and making sure you have sufficient test cases is easier said than done. And we are not just talking about developing new applications, but also modifying existing ones!
In this webinar we will look at test data management and the trends impacting application development and testing, including automation, shift-left testing, agile development, and DevOps. We will discuss the impact of these trends and how all of them drive up the speed and complexity of creating and testing applications. We’ll define the components and requirements of test data management and examine the pitfalls that can lead test data management becoming a bottleneck, slowing down your developers.
Along the way, we will take a look at the policies and regulations that protect sensitive data. Compliance with these regulations means that you can’t just use production data without taking into account personally identifiable data, healthcare data, and other types of sensitive data that developers should not see.
Join this webinar as IBM gold consultant Craig Mullins discusses the issues and requirements of data management and how UBS-Hainer’s XDM solution can be used to streamline and optimize your test data management efforts. (Craig S. Mullins is president & principal consultant of Mullins Consulting, Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in data and database management consulting, research, and strategy.)
