Our History
Fitz Software & Co. was established in Ireland in 1991 as a trading group for IBM mainframe system products and services. We have particular emphasis on z/OS operating system enhancement software (Monitoring, Availability, Change Management, Security, Audit & Risk Management), test data management & database productivity, IT asset management & z Cost reduction, and application life cycle products. After continued success and growth in the U.K. and German markets, our EMEA offices were established in Crosshaven (Ireland) and the business was incorporated in 1994 under the name Fitz Technologies Ltd.
However, Fitz Technologies Ltd. continues to trade under the name Fitz Software & Co. With the support and backing of the IDA (Industrial Development Authority, established by the Irish Government to facilitate the development of Irish-based industry), Fitz Technologies Ltd. has joined the unique group of companies granted a special package of incentives, support facilities, and status of International Services in Software. Our services team and partners offer customers a specialized, integrated solution to enterprise-wide IT management issues.
Fitz Software & Co. specializes in software localization and customization. Products are focused on the IBM mainframe z/Series - including z/OS, z/VSE and Linux/Unix platforms. The company offers central and program services to all licensed users of its program offerings. Other available services include onsite and in-house technical support, project management, development, installation, customization, and training. Fitz Software and its suppliers have a 24-hour telephone answering service available.
We license and support the products from NewEra Software, Data21 Software, Astrom Software, Log-On Software, Zetaly, UBS-Hainer Software, Phoenix Software Intl., Trident Services, and Eccox Technology.
The company markets the products through offices in Ireland, England and Germany, predominantly through tele-sales but also via trade shows, user group conferences, trade missions, and user-forums sponsored by Fitz Software. Our marketing and distribution area covers EMEA. Demos or trials are available on all products to potential customers and perpetual and rental licenses are offered on all products.
