SAE - Stand Alone Environment allows access to MVS volumes
and datasets without having an MVS active. Full range of ISPF like features, Fast DASD
Erase to delete a farm in less than 30 minutes and Dataset Utilities to ensure critical
datasets are always immediately accessible including restore of datasets from DFDSS &
FDR volume backups. The IMAGE FOCUS feature validates, reports on and corrects all system
definitions before an IPL (essential in a sysplex). SAE itself IPLs in 10 seconds, where
normally your start-up pack requires 15 to 30 minutes. Essential to any disaster recovery
plan as you execute your plan faster and have your production system up and running
quicker.
IFO - IMAGE Focus runs as a started task directly under
MVS and automatically creates and maintains full screen access, ISPF/PDF, to its own MVS
sub-system when VTAM, JES or TSO are unavailable giving various system management and
recovery functions. A background monitor is activated so that a virtual IPL can be
achieved for each image using the OS-Inspector, Sysplex-Inspector, JES-Inspector and
VTAM-Inspector providing in-depth change-management and documentation of your images.
DP Technician
is a comprehensive system utility toolkit available for OS/390 and z/OS systems. This
unique system can immensely improve the efficiency and the productivity in a data
processing installation. DP Technician consists of the following major components:
catalog/VVDS utilities, VSAM utilities, VSAM file copy backup & recovery, PDS &
sequential file utilities, general utilities, and tape/cartridge utilities.
Batch Analyzer
- Identifies the most frequently executed and expensive SQL statements and
time-consuming contention problems hiding within the hundreds of DB2 batch
programs that run each night. Conventional DB2 monitors, with their enormous
overhead, means tuning efforts arise only on known problems - Batch Analyzer
however can be run across all systems with minimal impact. It collects
performance statistics for batch DB2 job streams and then provides you with
the actual SQL statements that cost you most in CPU utilization and elapsed
batch times. Batch Analyzer performance reports are presented in a simple
format allowing Application Developers as well as DBAs to locate their own
problems.
SMF-Tracker
- Replace expensive statistical software. Delivers the necessary data for
cost allocation and capacity planning, providing the necessary tools in the
evaluation, interpretation and presentation of this data.
2cIP -
Provides automatic tracing facilities using standard interfaces, data reduction
through trace filtering, export and multi-line comments on each trace for easier trace
management for OS/390 users of TCP/IP, SNA & Enterprise Extender. Provides analysis
tools, MIB browser, EMCS Console as well as support for most IP protocols / z/OS formats.
2cIP combines standard, proven mainframe technology, with state of the art object-oriented
programming to give you crisp, clear ISPF screens containing the information you need.
EEProxy: Proxy for Enterprise Extender to benefit VTAM/SNA users with multiple IP stacks per LPAR. Problem - VTAM can only talk to one IP stack for Enterprise Extender connectivity to the outside world. If you are forced to use multiple IP stacks for security reasons then these stacks cannot carry EE connections. Solution - EEPROXY will bridge this gap by connecting to multiple stacks and relaying the EE traffic between them.
SMAR_RT Type80 - SMA_RT functions as a security
monitor that looks for patterns of abuse and sends real-time alerts. It
supports z/OS system environments across multiple CPUs and over
geographically diverse locations. SMA_RT tracks activity, monitors system
resources and records vital information. Alerts are routed to the SMA_RT
management GUI, external security log concentrator products or other threat
management products that use TCP/IP SYSLOG protocol.
Intersession
is a modern 3270 session manager for mainframes
that gives all users secure, fast and convenient access to their
applications. After logging on the user is presented with a menu of
authorized applications and also gives the users
Single Sign-On access. InterSession
supports all current IBM mainframe operating systems (z/OS,
VSE and VM), and all VTAM application host systems (i.e. CICS, TSO, IMS,...).
The TN3270 support supports all current IBM TCP/IP stacks
and TCPaccess from CA (Interlink Computer Sciences).
InterSession comes with migration tools to help you migrate from old
session managers such as Net/Master
and TPX.
